Cinemas around Staffordshire Technology Park

The Stafford Cinema

Newport Rd, Stafford ST16 2HH, UK – 020 7438 9580

It's okay cinema, I wish I could say more about it, I'm usually all for independent business but The Stafford Cinema lacks disabled access to any of it's screens. I don't know how they will last when the Odeon opens next year. Unless they manage to change in a big way. I think they should find something that gives them more of an edge. Like late night movies, or showing more independent films or even hosting movie marathons. The staff here are nice and helpful and they sell a good range of snacks.

Service was good but slow. But it was a quiet showing. Seats in screen 2 were cramped.

The Picture House

Bridge St, Stafford ST16 2HL, UK – 01785 222941

Came down to sample the veggie brunch and was pleasantly surprised when a huge platter containing three sausages, two fried eggs, beans and very nicely cooked chips were presented. We helped ourselves to unlimited coffee refills after our initial purchase up till 2pm. The interior is well decorated acknowledging the buildings past as a picture house and creates a relaxing ambience. The two staff covering the lunch time tables worked ceaselessly with calm demeanour to ensure all customers were attended to quickly and satisfactorily. All in all a very pleasing experience which I would highly recommend and will be visiting myself again soon.

It's actually a nice place. It's set in an old theatre styled building with posters of old classic movies on the walls. Good dining facilities and brilliant bar services. There's also an outdoor sitting area but not much of a view. Overall, it's good for the start of the night or an early night out.

Stafford Borough Council

Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford ST16 3AQ, UK – 01785 619000

New Waterfront Car park in Stafford. This has replaced the old TESCO multi-storey car park, and is light, spacious and well designed, with wide access ramps. Payment is at the end of the stay, so no need to worry about returning too late for a pre-paid ticket. However, it closes at 2330hrs, so not suitable for revellers at the town's nightspots who return to their cars in the early hours.

Theatres for Staffordshire Technology Park

Stafford Gatehouse Theatre

Eastgate St, Stafford ST16 2LT, UK – 01785 619080

The Comedy nights in the Met are excellent. Not sure I should be telling you about them - next time I may not get in!

Seats are uncomfortable and crammed in. Variety of shows is very good and they get top namesd Comedians as well as up and coming ones. It's local and serves a function. Like most places you can order in advance and pick up tickets on the door or have them delivered for an extra cost. Helpful Staff.
