Really enjoy the variety of classes and as a full member you are able to join in with as many as you like. The instructors are all very nice and helpful. The gym equipment is good and there is large range to choose from to suit your workout.
UPDATE! Since I wrote the initial review (below) I've been going about three times a week for the last 6 months. The place just gets better! The new installation of highly efficient air-con', especially in the current 30 degree temperatures is brilliant. The equipment is well serviced and so clean. Due to my chronic back problem, I've had some sessions with the on site physio Nathan Wharton who is first class, one of the best physios I've ever had (and I've seen more than several over the years) and a nice guy too. I can't recommend this establishment highly enough. It is the best gym I've ever been to and love going. Do yourself a favour and don't waste your time on free trials elsewhere! Just join here, it's totally top notch :-) ORIGINAL REVIEW: I joined here a couple of weeks ago and very glad I did. Good free parking either just outside or a very short walk. A few weeks prior I popped in and was shown round by a lovely pleasant and helpful lady called Ann. Having always been a member of a gym when my health and elderly body :-(! has allowed I am able to compare like for like, and this is one of the best. The Matrix equipment is outstanding, most innovative and much higher quality that Technogym and others in my opinion. It is great to have all the digital/Wifi connected attributes here too, this really does help with motivation. The gym is thoughtfully set out and not cramped, it's light, airy and spacious. There's good air flow from the fan system so you don't feel like you're going to melt, even when working out hard. The whole place is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The changing rooms are spacious with great shower facilities and lockers. I'm one for washing my hands fairly often to prevent bugs and am glad the dryer isn't the Dyson one (which are full of bacteria) where you put your hands into, as most seem to be having now :-( ! Sometimes it's the small things that make all the difference and the attention to detail here is evident. Just to have the blue roll with a bin is so useful - many places don't now, the piped music is great/appropriate and not repetitive, the TV screens are in the right places, it's all on one level so you're not up and down stairs, the card entry is easy and straight forward, the app works well and classes are easy to book (I haven't done any yet but will do as there's a great variety of activities and times), the lighting is just right and the pricing is fair and good value. I had a complimentary induction with a PT (Ian Wilson) who was highly knowledgeable and took his time to ensure I was up to speed with all the equipment which was much appreciated. I have to say though that one collective aspect of this establishment that shines through is the staff. Whoever owns this complex should be very proud of their team. Phil (the Manager) is a lovely guy, personable, kind in manner, helpful and highly efficient. Under his management and I would imagine leading by example, the rest of the team take the same approach which is refreshing and appreciated. Simon took me through the sign up process, furnished me with all the necessary documentation and was pleasant and helpful. ALL the other staff I've come into contact with have been so approachable, helpful and just plain 'nice'! How good is that :-) They all seem to really enjoy their jobs. Just makes you feel welcome and valued to be honest. So, to summarise, I would HIGHLY recommend this gym and it's classes have so much to offer which are also included in the membership. I very much hope it goes from strength to strength. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to providing a first class product.
The Hollies, 120 Newport Rd, Stafford ST16 1BA, UK – 01785 246741
Well equipped cardio section and plenty of choice for dumbbells. However it is missing a few weight machines and there isn't many weight plates if you are after strength training. Also found the womens training room to be very stereotypical, lots of cardio, a few leg machines and some weird purple exercise beds. Changing room facilities were nice and clean.
Great gym. Friendly and helpful. Wonderful classes for all

Average- staff could be better - equipment could be improved
If you want to pump Iron, train hard and get Fit! this is the place, whenever I am in Stafford I always go to Elite 2000 because I know that the guys there are great, there is no hassle, they don't want me to sign up to a 12 month contract and I can train my heart out, whenever I want. they also run Boxing and Kickboxing classes which I love.
