Stay was pleasant. The location of the hotel was convenient to multiple local restaurants and bars whilst being easy to get to, with free parking. The service from the staff was exceptional. They were extremely friendly, and even went above and beyond for a different customer who was in front of me in the queue to check in. The rooms were a standard Travelodge room, clean but slightly outdated.
Great location, decent price. Fairly recently modernised and the rooms are very clean and tidy. Pizza Hut and KFC next door. Free parking.

Very old building, so expect uneven, creaky flooring. Bedroom was clean and well decorated. Shower was powerful with easy to use controls and plenty of hot water. Bed king size and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We ran out of milk for bedroom tea, it was no problem to get jug of fresh milk from bar for free. Breakfast had buffet fruit cereals and drinks followed by served full English. Car park with barrier, but slightly too small if hotel full. For a hotel just a short walk from town centre pleasantly quiet at night. Overall a good experience, would use it again.
Overnight stay in this town centre hotel. Beamed dining room, good sized clean bedroom with en suite and free secure parking. Breakfast served until 11.00 with hot food option cooked to order. Evening meals and a bar available but Hotel close to all amenities. Friendly staff.

The Swan Hotel is located near enough to the centre of Stafford Town which makes it a good spot to have lunch or even just a simple coffee. It has a traditional yet at the same time modern feel to it. You can either visit the lounge type rooms complete with sofas. The bar, the cafe, all the main hall area as you enter. There is also a very nice outdoor area complete with gazebo. The service is very professional and accommodating, I'd recommend the Swan to anyone.
We went to the Swan recently for an intimate family dinner. Booking is very easy to do online which is great. The staff were fantastic and very attentive however we were let down by quite bland food and a very noisy atmosphere. Some work could be done to better absorb sound as we couldn't hear people sat just opposite us in the restaurant. The ladies loo could also do with more mirrors, I couldn't wash or dry my hands due to numerous women blocking the sinks while putting make up on.

Pub decor was ok and quite cosy but there were some areas in need of attention, including the gents toilet. The staff were very friendly and efficient but the food was mediocre and a little over priced on the main menu. The saver menu, on the other hand, was good value for money
Very nice place wonderful choice of seating the kids enjoyed playing in the park. Food came very quick and was delicious will definitely return in the future.

Came down to sample the veggie brunch and was pleasantly surprised when a huge platter containing three sausages, two fried eggs, beans and very nicely cooked chips were presented. We helped ourselves to unlimited coffee refills after our initial purchase up till 2pm. The interior is well decorated acknowledging the buildings past as a picture house and creates a relaxing ambience. The two staff covering the lunch time tables worked ceaselessly with calm demeanour to ensure all customers were attended to quickly and satisfactorily. All in all a very pleasing experience which I would highly recommend and will be visiting myself again soon.
It's actually a nice place. It's set in an old theatre styled building with posters of old classic movies on the walls. Good dining facilities and brilliant bar services. There's also an outdoor sitting area but not much of a view. Overall, it's good for the start of the night or an early night out.

Simply the best burger place in Stafford. There is a great selection of beers and ale, along with the best burger menu in miles. It's always somewhere I bring visitors and friends and it's always very popular. The burgers are made with chuck steak and are sublime, plus the menu offers toppings like pulled pork, or a bourbon poached pear or mac and cheese. The vegetarian burger is so good we will sometimes have it instead of a meat burger (usually it's very rare I do this!) and the chicken burger is fantastic. If you're into live music, they play at about 9pm on Saturdays, by which time they have stopped serving food. Small and cosy, no nonsense stuff and the music isn't too loud! I'm a massive fan of this place.
Cosy pub serving the best Burgers at a decent price, the sandwiches are really good too. My favourite is the hipster burger with a poached pear. Good selection of ales. Getting a table isn't guaranteed and you can't reserve a table so get there early or enjoy a pint at the bar whilst you wait for a table. It's worth the wait!

Very nice family run business keen prices also very clean and tidy
A small guesthouse just outside of Stafford town centre, Wyndale is currently (21/11/15) undergoing renovations to modernise. Some of the rooms and halls are a little old fashioned and some are completely up to date. At the moment it's pot luck which you'd end up in. But whichever one you get, the food is great, the owners are very friendly, the beds are comfy and it's a nice little place to stay.

A hidden wonder of the UK countryside
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
