Lloyds Bank

5 Market Square, Stafford ST16 2JL, UK – 0345 300 0000

Excellent service provided by Lloyds after the passing of my father, thank you for making the process painless.

A nice bank with friendly staff, however the queue can get really long and they keep changing there opening times on a Saturday - I personally preferred the extended hours but they are no longer available.

41 Greengate St, Stafford ST16 2JA, UK – 0345 788 8444

Happy customer. Friendly (ish) staff. Nice store

Large inside and plenty of 'help yourself' machines which helps you either skip the queue or at least helps reduce it.

8 Market Square, Staffordshire, Stafford ST16 2JP, UK – 0345 740 4404

After splitting up with my partner, who had not allowed me any access to the joint finances, I found myself having to piece together what was actually happening with my money every month, having to open myself a new bank account, trying to separate what was my financial responsibility and what were joint responsibility, all at a time when I was obviously having to deal with a lot of other issues. The staff in this branch couldn't do enough for me, especially Anne who has been "my Rock". thanks to everyone of these people, they're the best!

Plenty of automated machines and staff on hand if you need help. No counter service on Saturday's though which isn't very useful.

Building Societies

Stafford Railway Building Society

4 Market Square, Stafford ST16 2JH, UK – 01785 223212

The Staffordshire Railway is an exceeding well run building society - nothing like your average bank. It is a place where local people in particular can trust their savings and my firm has no difficulty in recommending it to our clients.

Lovely friendly local building society. The staff are so helpful.

New Oxford House, 25 Greengate St, Stafford ST16 2HT, UK – 0800 554 0545

Good service, helpful staff. I changed from a bank to Nationwide and have never looked back. Much more professional than any of the banks I’ve used.

Excellent customer service here. Staff very helpful and friendly. Been served by Josh many times and he is great.

Dental Surgeries

The Stafford Dental Practice

16 Wolverhampton Rd, Stafford ST17 4BP, UK – 01785 226400

Having being fearful of dentists since a bad experience, I was encouraged by a friend to visit this practice, and I'm so glad I did. Jason was so understanding about my fear, and explained the whole process that he would go through to repair my teeth. I perform in front of people, so to have teeth in the condition that mine were was terrible, but they have now been fully restored, and I haven't felt a single bit of pain the whole way through. I had 6 appointments with Debbie the hygienist who gave each section a deep clean every time, a broken front tooth repaired, a root extraction and just one filling repaired and I'm not kidding when I say I didn't feel one bit of pain. On the first appointment, my hands were sweating and I nearly just walked out through fear, and I'm now at the point where I can't wait to back and have my teeth straightened to complete my smile. I cannot thank everyone in this practice enough for their patience and understanding with me, and for the true professionalism shown throughout. I would not recommend or go anywhere else.

It's 4 stars because 4 stars says Liked it and 5 stars means Loved it, you show me anyone who Loves going the dentist! Anyway, I reviewed a couple of years ago and thought I'd do so again. The team at Stafford Dental practise are great. Just to echo my previous review as it still stands: Jason is, in my mind, the guy with love for the technical and all the jargon that goes with it (geek chic) and knows how to use it, Bev is a credit to the team and if anyone is there to give you peace of mind and answer any questions, well, she's the one! Receptionist is always smiley and helpful. Hygienist is also great at her job. My teeth are a joy to use thanks mostly to the team at Stafford Dental Practise.

Simpson & Goodwin Dental Surgery Stafford

7-8 Friars' Rd, Stafford ST17 4AA, UK – 01785 252536

Can’t fault this dentist. Called them this morning with toothache as filling had fallen out (not one I had done at this practice may I add)! They got me an appointment for later in the day, and have sorted me out. Thank you so much, I’m so glad I found a dentist I can trust, brilliant service from the minute you walk in the door. Regards Helen watson

I absolutely am overwhelmed with how dental surgeon Damian hopper felt with my tooth issue. The team are top notch. I strongly recommend people to register with Simpson and goodwin. Top Ratings 10 out of 10.

Dental Access Centre

2nd Floor Central Clinic, Civic Centre, Stafford ST16 3AQ, UK – 0300 124 0110

Very nice people very helpful and really put patients first old and young cannot fault.

A good facility to have.

Stafford Health and Wellbeing Centre

Whitgreave Court, Stafford ST16 3EB, UK – 01785 258240

It's ok sometimes, but you can't half spend alot of time waiting round! At least there a some members on Reception that are polite and will go out of their way to help you. The call back service is good, because if it's something simple, and you just need a prescription then it's saves you having to go for a physical appointment, you can just call in at your own convenience to grab your script. It's also very helpful when it has been electronically sent through to the chemist and its all done... It doesn't half make things so much easier. 🙂

One of the best (if not THE Best) medical practices in Stafford. I have been looked after with skill, compassion, understanding and respect. The GP'S cover a huge range of very experienced skillets, and communicate with each other. The nursing and other staff equally do their own work within their field of expertise very well. I wouldn't wish to change anything and highly recommend and praise this practice.

I would like to thank Dawn, Andrea nurse practitioner and Jay for last week. I was discharged from hospital and had a problem with a wound that was not healing. From my first call to Dawn I was given an appointment within hours. I had two more appointments and was looked after with the utmost care and respect. Very dedicated staff as always. Thank you once again for everything. I could not wish for a better surgery. Regards to you all. Anne-Marie Naylor

Brilliant surgery hardly had to wait to be seen both times I attended

Rowley Hall Hospital

Rowley Ave, Staffordshire, Stafford ST17 9AQ, UK – 01785 223203

I am less than 2 weeks post op having had a total knee replacement. My experience at Rowley Hall has been fantastic. My surgeon Mr Shaylor has done a fabulous job, my knee looks amazing in such a short time and I cannot praise the nursing staff enough, especially Phil who was so kind and caring towards me. I would also like to thank all the other nursing staff who have cared for me both prior to my op and after and the physiotherapists and administration staff as well. I can not praise this hospital enough as their standard in care and attention to patients goes above and beyond, so thank you all very much and all of this as a N.H.S. patient.

The nursing care is second to none. I felt that the care and attention I received following two operations was amazing. Thanks to all nurses, Doctors, physios and not forgetting the catering staff.

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

St Chad's Church

Greengate St, Stafford ST16 2HP, UK – 01785 223600

Brilliant place to go went to see the tree festival. And they were all lovely the staff were very kind and polite they had a little band there that played some Christmas songs. They did Tea and coffee with a mince pies. It is very clean and tidy and well presented inside. So much to look at and history to talk about. They have little activities that go on there and get all ages to join in. Both inside and outside have a beautiful character to it.

Lovely church with intricate stonework.

Church Lane Evangelical Church

Great place to worship, be part of stafford and be you.

Collegiate Church of Saint Mary

St Mary's Place, Stafford ST16 2AP, UK – 01785 223600

This is a beautiful church dating back to 1190. Has undergone many changes, in 1593 the spire on the octagonal tower collapsed causing much damage. George Gilbert scott performed a restoration of the church which was finished in 1844. This church is traditional but not to formal. A day is not long enough to take in all the interesting architecture . The font is supported by animals and figures of people it is believed this may be older than the church itself. If you are an Angler like myself there is a bust of Izaak Walton plus other interesting artefacts. Children and Families are important to this church and the children's choir is always looking for new members. There is a supervised play area plus toilets and a changing area. There are various guide books and hand outs to help you discover some of this churches treasures. I would urge anyone to pay a visit. You will be met with warmth and a friendly welcome as I was.

A quite gorgeous church to visit, with friendly people there. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. A wonderful place to visit.

Katherine House

St Albans Road Industrial Estate, Stafford ST16 3DR, UK

Katharine House Hospice provides an outstanding service to the people of Stafford and the surrounding areas. It relies on fundraising for a large proportion of its budget. This warehouse shop is full of furniture and all kinds of things for sale that people have donated. They will also collect some large items, so if you're wanting to get shot of a good sofa or wardrobe, do consider giving these people a ring.

Great place to pick up preloved items for the home. With all money going to this amazing local charity it's even better.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Staffordshire Technology Park

8 Brocton Rd, Milford, Stafford ST17 0UH, UK – 01785 663239

Posh nosh curry house. Staff were courteous and service was quick(takeaway). Food was ok but not great as I'd hoped. Maybe a different curry was required.

Delicious grub! The spicy mushrooms were apparently a bit hotter than expected, but my lamb was lovely, succulent and sweet / fruity! Kept us supplied with small amuse bouche of ice cream to clean the palate between courses!

56 Foregate St, Stafford ST16 2PR, UK – 01785 259745

Loved the food. Amazing atmosphere and a beautiful space. Thing to improve: car park. There is one across the road though do not bad. Really recommend it.

Beautiful ambience. Stylish, helpful and happy staff. Superb fresh and authentic food. Consistent chefs. Excellent all around. 10/10.

The Island Restaurant Stafford

135-136 Lichfield Rd, Stafford ST17 4LE, UK – 01785 215355

Had take away ordered. Quick delivery, fantastic taste, hot food delivered, big portions. Value for money. Will use again. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food - bonus points for veg and Quorn options on the menu. I use the delivery service. I always get a message back from them informing me of how long it will take to deliver - often realistic but slow. I'm assuming this is because they are just so popular as the food is so darned good. So expect a wait of at least an hour on Saturdays. Delivery staff are always polite and courteous. Discounts available for those ordering directly from them via their website as opposed to using one of the more popular take away app.

can't get much better than friendly staff, lots of activities for a variety of aged children to keep them well entertained and stimulated, and above all excellent care provided. The staff here truly have gone above and beyond in more than one occasion to ensure our experience was/is always a good one. highly recommended.

Sir Graham Balfour School

North Ave, Stafford ST16 1NR, UK – 01785 223490

McDonald is a great fast food place that has happy meals with toys. You can order whatever drink your little kid wants. Adults and teens can have happy meals as well. On the main menu there are different varieties of foods and drinks. For example if it was a hot day and you wanted to cool down you could have a small, medium or large milkshake. For the food example you could have fish fingers or burgers and other things as well. If you don't want chips you have to tell them otherwise they will give them to you as they are a thing that they assume people want.

My name is E15 this school we call Balfour is so boring I had more fun going to my nans funeral and they had free food. At Balfour all you get is bad food which you pay for and they wonder why people sneak off to parkside. If being a boring and hell whole is what they are going for your doing all the right things Some gd things to change are the following . •get mr wright back he was the best head teacher ever. •get gd food •kick mr mason out and get someone who cares for people •let people go for a sesh when they want •don’t big up to my gs •don’t be idiots to students pick on somebody your own size stop shouting in kids faces that’s not how you solve stuff because Last time I shouted in a teachers face I got 2 day iso •let students have a say in stuff before you give them a iso or break or after school because I had so many off them because you don’t listen. •don’t make lies up about people and don’t make stuff seem bad on the phone when you call to talk about a kid to the mum or dad because you make every single person feel like dirt •just saying most off the teachers are ok and they know who they are but the ones that are giving out loads off bcs for petty things stop because all your doing is making that kid look bad and well that’s not the case with the people who go Balfour at the end off the day they are young people they should be aloud to make mistakes that’s life everyone makes them •the pe teachers get a 5 star rating from me they are the kindest people ever they will talk to ya and they care about you unlike most the teachers •big up mr T mr Johnson and mrs Watson also mrs C mrs M
